Kodiak 2019 planning is in full swing up in Big Bear Lake! The snow has melted, the days are longer, the trails are calling. And we have some exciting news!

The Prize Purse is back for 2019

The Big Bear Visitor's Bureau wants to support the 2019 Kodiak 100 Mile race with $5,000 in prize money!

1st place: $1,500

2nd place: $700

3rd place: $300

(Each for Male and Female)

If you're already registered, we'll be sending details to you via email on how to be eligible for this year's prize money. This information will also be available on our website and full details will be published in the 2019 Race Manual.

Join us as an Aid Station Captain

We are recruiting Aid Station Captains for a few Kodiak Aid Stations. Captains should have prior experience as a volunteer at an Ultra.

All Captains are requested to attend our Kodiak Captains weekend for a race overview and other fun activities that will be held July 13-14 in Big Bear. Lodging, meals, and activities will be provided free! Plus swag from our sponsors and other surprises!

Celebrate National Trails Day on June 1st in Big Bear

Our Fatass run has turned into a fundraiser event for National Trails Day, supporting the Big Bear Valley Trails Foundation. We will host a 5K, Half Marathon, Marathon, and 50K while the

Trails Foundation will host an Introduction to Trail Maintenance.

Lunch, beer, cool swag, and fun activities will also be provided to all participants! Great option to get in another high altitude training day while supporting a great cause! Register by April 30 to guarantee your shirt size.
